Curriculum

Sekolah Noah Elementary school is based on the National Education System that is integrated with the best international approaches that enable students to face the challenges of this world.

Our curriculum strives to foster holistic learning, not only the student’s academic ability. Students are encouraged to develop their understanding of certain concepts through theoretical and practical methods.

Students will be assessed comprehensively through continual/formative assessments and Summative Assessments (Semester Project & Final Summative Assessment). These tests are intended to assist students in gaining appropriate comprehension through concept/knowledge and understanding/performance. Thus, students are able to develop their skills in understanding knowledge and communicating their ideas effectively.

Subjects offered are Bahasa Indonesia, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Civics, Religion, Arts, ICT, Physical Education, and Music. Core subjects are taught bilingually, in Bahasa Indonesia and English

WHY SEKOLAH NOAH
Program

As one of the Cambridge Primary Schools with school ID 344 and listed officially as SPK, the use of English is required as a medium for learning instruction in subjects such as mathematics, science, and English. Students are expected to get used to using English in daily conversations, and it is hoped that the development of each student’s English can continue to improve. The role of parents in supporting students’ abilities is highly expected. Indonesian is also needed to support national curriculum programs such as Bahasa Indonesia, PPKn/IPS, IPA, and Agama.

Essential elements and the key competencies of the national curriculum are combined with international programs and taught from Playgroup to Elementary School.

Our school strives to equip our students with strong knowledge, life skills, and personal qualities that will not only help them flourish in the challenges of the globalization era but also prepare them to make positive contributions to their communities.

Our core focus is to deliver high-quality academic programs that enable students to achieve their potential, self-belief, and positive values and characters based on Pancasila, which is called Character Education. There are 12 character education values that we have. Every morning, students will have a session in the class to discuss and apply the characters to interactive topics and media.

Assembly

Assembly is where the students practice the components of the flag ceremony, such as giving a salute to the flag, reciting Pancasila, and showing a performance. Assembly can be a chance for students to implement their character values. The goal is that taking part in the assembly or flag ceremony instills a sense of responsibility in students. They understand that they must honor and uphold the values represented by the flag and other national symbols.

Individual Class

The individual class is designed to assess and improve the reading skills of Grade 1 and 2 students, particularly in Indonesian and English, to enhance their understanding of lesson.

Cambridge Assessment

The Cambridge Progression Test and Checkpoint Test are assessments that evaluate students’ learning progress and understanding of the curriculum. The tests provide feedback on students’ strengths and weaknesses in various subjects, helping teachers tailor their teaching methods to better support individual student needs.

  • The Cambridge Progression Test is a tool that schools can use to track student progress throughout the academic year. It covers a range of subjects, and the questions are aligned with the curriculum standards set by Cambridge Assessment International Education.
  • The Checkpoint Test is given at the end of a stage of education. It measures a student’s knowledge and skills in three subjects: English, Math, and Science. The test provides a snapshot of a student’s academic performance at a specific time. The results can be used to track a student’s progress over time and make decisions about their educational path
School Assessment

To assess the student’s understanding of the given topics, we conduct assessments.

  • Summative Assessment during the learning process.
  •  Final Summative Assessment at the end of the semester.
  • School Examination (Ujian Sekolah) at the end of Grade 6 level.
Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer (ANBK)

Grade 5 students will take the National Assessment to measure literacy and numeracy skills.

Learning Process

The integrated learning process builds a sense of learning and thinking by engaging in experiences and interesting activities.
