Semester Project Visit of Upper Grade

The Semester Project is a core learning method at Sekolah Noah, designed to enrich the educational experience. Through comprehensive projects, students apply theoretical concepts in practical settings, leading to a deeper understanding and better retention of the material. The initial stage involves researching and gathering information directly from the field, known as the Educational Trip.

Additionally, students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and develop practical skills through hands-on, real-world learning experiences. This semester’s Educational Trip aims to:

  • Understand and appreciate the cultural diversity and local wisdom of each region in Indonesia. Indonesia, with its hundreds of ethnic groups, each possessing distinct languages, customs, traditions, and unique traditional houses, clothing, and cultures, offers a rich tapestry of heritage. By recognizing this diversity, built on mutual respect and appreciation, students will be encouraged to actively engage in efforts to maintain and celebrate this diversity for future generations.
  • Gain awareness and understanding of Indonesia’s diverse cultural traditions, languages, and customs. This fosters an appreciation for the richness and significance of the country’s heritage. Cultural assets are categorized into tangible items, which are often passed down through generations and preserve heritage in a visible, touchable form, and intangible heritage, expressed through practices, expressions, skills, and customs deeply embedded in a community’s way of life.
  • Develop a sense of pride and responsibility in preserving Indonesia’s cultural diversity. The museum’s collection highlights the global reach of Indonesian textiles, showcasing how these traditional arts have been integrated into international fashion, art, and design.

We hope students will gain the maximum benefit from this activity by applying the knowledge and insights acquired to create meaningful and well-informed projects. By integrating what they’ve learned, we believe they will deepen their understanding and develop creative solutions and innovative ideas that reflect Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity.
