Curriculum

Noah Middle School’s curriculum focuses on developing students’ academic and non-academic skills which equip them to contribute to the global society.

Noah Middle School implements a combined curriculum of the National Curriculum and Cambridge Curriculum. For the National Curriculum, we apply Kurikulum Merdeka and for the Cambridge Curriculum, we apply Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum. Our school has a Cambridge license with ID344.

Noah Middle School covers Grade 7 to Grade 9. At this level of learning, the curriculum is more subject-based. The curriculum covers the tenth learning area which is divided into two groups, such as: Core Subjects and Special Subjects. The Core Subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Bahasa Indonesia, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial and Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. The Special Subjects include Religion, Information and Communication Technology, Physical Education, Music, and Arts.

Programme

Noah Middle School program provides the students with an encouraging and challenging learning environment that enriches them with a wide range of content-based topics from both National and International perspectives.

Noah Middle School students experience academic and non-academic activities. The students have 4 Terms in an academic year. In every odd term, they have a Semester Project Presentation; in every even term, they have both formative and summative tests. The students have many events in every Term; such as religious celebrations, competitions, sabbatical weeks, and other fun activities.

Noah Middle School provides structured learning at every year level in every subject group, according to the requirements and objectives of our curriculum. These objectives help our students develop higher thinking skills and objective judgments. Learning how to gain and evaluate information critically is as important as the content of the subjects themselves.

The teaching methods used are student-centered and interactive where English is the dominant language used during the learning process; giving instructions, and communicating between teachers and friends. There is a strong emphasis on Bahasa Indonesia in subjects that use the National Curriculum. The students are also encouraged to be more independent and responsible for their academic progress and develop individual and group work.

Activities

Event

Many exciting events are provided to boost engagement between students and students and students and teachers. We facilitate events that can develop students’ creativity, communication, and social skills, as well as cultivate a strong spirit of nationalism. The events consist of Drama and Art Festival, Noah Idol, educational seminars like anti-bullying, reproductive healthcare, Team Building, National Day Celebration, etc.

Student’s Club

Students’ clubs are mentored by teachers to excel in the students’ potential and hone their skills to be ready to join competitions at both National and International levels. Noah Middle School Clubs cover Science, Math, English, and Bahasa Indonesia.

We do a selection test to choose the students who can join the clubs and give an hour of practice every Friday to the selected students.

Achievement

Students’ achievement is the measurement of the amount of academic content a student learns in a given time frame. Noah Middle School students gain academic and non-academic achievements, such as: achieving a gold medal in the Everest taekwondo championship, winning the bronze medals in SASMO, winning first place in storytelling at LKBBI, achieving a silver medal in the Vanda science competition, winning bronze medal in ASMO, etc.
