Noah Middle School has regular programs, one of them is the Semester Project, Grade 7 underwent a visit to Kampung Nelayan Cilincing, North Jakarta. The visit took place on 20 August 2024. The students were very enthusiastic to go on this trip as they were eager to learn about life on the coast of Jakarta. The main topic for grade 7 students is based on Sustainable Development Goal No. 14, Life Below Water. The students were asked to find information about the conditions of the local people and how they earn their living. The student conducted on-site observation, and interviewed the locals in Kampung Nelayan Cilincing. While collecting the information, the students also interacted with the children who lived in the village.
By conducting this Semester Project visit, the students will be able to continue their project by applying all the information and the observation results on their end products as the output. It is hoped that the students could raise the students’ social awareness and valuable real-life lessons that are important to prepare them for a better future.
